PRE-TREAMENT PROTOCOL
- Make sure your skin is clean and makeup-free before treatment.
- Avoid blood thinners like aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol a few days prior to reduce the risk of bruising.
- Discuss your current medications and supplements with your provider.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Some redness, swelling, or mild bruising may occur immediately after treatment.
- The effects are immediate, but full results are seen within 7 days.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOU SKIN POST TREATMENT:
- Avoid massaging, rubbing, or applying pressure to the treated area for 6 hours.
- Refrain from using aspirin, ibuprofen, and drinking alcohol for a few days.
- Do not exercise for 24 hours.
- Apply Arnica Montana cream or take Arnica tabs to reduce redness, bruising, or swelling.
- Limit sun exposure and avoid cold outdoor activities until redness subsides.
- Do not restart Retinol or Retin-A for 2 days.
- Avoid kissing, puckering, using a straw, or applying "lip plumpers," as these can displace the filler material and cause complications.
- Apply ice with light pressure to reduce swelling for 10-20 minutes, then remove for 10-20 minutes. Repeat throughout the day.
- Mild to moderate bruising is common with fillers. Use Arnica Montana (topical or oral) for bruising and swelling.
- Stay well-hydrated, as filler binds to water to add volume to the skin.
- Avoid facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dental treatments, and "face down" massages for two weeks.
- Sleep on your back for the next few nights.
- If possible, avoid makeup today; gentle cleansing and moisturizer are fine.
