Pre-Treatment Protocol:
- Pre-treat with 4% hydroquinone for 2-4 weeks prior to treatment nightly; some darker skinned or melasma patients may be asked to follow this protocol.
- Alastin Regenerating Nectar – Apply twice per day to for 2 weeks prior to treatment to clear out old collagen and elastin.
What to Expect Day of Treatment:
Once you arrive, you will have photos taken, topical numbing cream applied for 30 minutes, then skin is cleaned off and treatment will begin.
What to Expect During Treatment:
During the Moxi treatment, the provider will glide the handpiece across the skin. You may feel a slight warming sensation. During this time, the Moxi is creating tiny micro-coagulation zones in the skin. The body naturally repairs these zones and replaces the damaged cells with new healthy ones, leaving your skin refreshed and glowing with each treatment.
What to Expect After Treatment:
The day after Moxi, your skin may appear red, and depending on the aggressiveness, you may also see tiny dots called “MENDS” on your skin where the laser was applied. As these channels heal, they will darken and feel rough in texture. Between days 3 and 5, the MENDS will slough off, revealing new, glowing skin.
