Pre-Treatment Instructions
- AVOID BLOOD THINNERS: Refrain from aspirin, NSAIDs, and alcohol at least 3 days before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
- HYDRATION: Stay well-hydrated leading up to your appointment.
- LIMIT SUN EXPOSURE: Avoid excessive sun exposure before treatment.
What to expect
- TEMPORARY FIRMNESS: It’s normal to experience initial firmness at the injection sites. This will soften over time as the product settles.
- MILD SWELLING & BRUISING: Swelling, bruising, and redness are common and should subside within a few days.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SKIN POST-TREATMENT
- ICE PACKS: Use ice packs for the first 24 hours. Apply for 10 minutes, then take a 10-minute break to reduce swelling.
- MASSAGE: Follow the 5, 5, 5 RULE—massage the treated area 5 times a day for 5 minutes each, for 5 days to help with even distribution of Radiesse.
- AVOID EXERCISE & HEAT: Stay away from strenuous exercise, heat, and sunlight for 48 hours post-treatment.
- MEDICATION & ALCOHOL: Avoid aspirin, NSAIDs, and alcohol for the first few days to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
- FACIAL MOVEMENTS: Refrain from exaggerated facial expressions in the treated areas. Avoid chewing gum or consuming hot foods for several hours after treatment, especially in anesthetized areas.
- PAIN MANAGEMENT: You may use Tylenol for pain if needed.
- SUN PROTECTION: Avoid sun exposure until redness and swelling have subsided. Use SPF 30 or higher sunscreen if you go outdoors.
- GENTLE CLEANSING: Wash the treated area gently a few hours after treatment. Avoid scrubbing or using harsh products.
- SLEEPING POSITION: Try to sleep on your back for a few nights to avoid pressure on the treated areas.

FOLLOW-UP PROTOCOL
- PATIENCE FOR RESULTS: Full results may take a few weeks to become visible as Radiesse settles and stimulates collagen production.
- RESUMING SKIN CARE: After 48 hours, you can resume your regular skincare routine. Be gentle with any exfoliating products or treatments for the first week.

- If you experience SIGNIFICANT SWELLING, BLEEDING, EYE PAIN, VISION CHANGES, DUSKY DISCOLORATION, or EXCESSIVE PAIN, notify your provider immediately.
